Implementation

Like most software projects, the implementation of your new eCommerce solution is key to success. Our experienced team will guide you every step of the way, making use of the latest online project planning tools to ensure that everyone understands what stage of the process has been reached.

Every project is different, but below we outline the typical stages in the implementation process.

Consultancy

The first stage normally involves some consultancy in order to plan the route ahead. Unless you specify differently, iDynamics’ consultants will look at your existing business processes and replicate this online. That way we ensure the system fits the way you work which, in turn, will make implementation easier for you and your staff.

Site Build

Each site can be branded to look the same as your existing static website, if you have one, or to reflect your corporate image if we are building a completely new website. Each eCommerce site is also designed and built in such a way that there is scope for enhancements at a later stage.

Our development team will create the links between your back office system and the eCommerce site to enable information to be sent and received between the two.

Site Launch

Your eCommerce site will only be launched once it has been fully tested in a demonstration environment. After testing, it will be loaded on to a web-server, usually hosted by iDynamics at our purpose-built data centre in London’s Docklands (see Hosting).

Training

Our training programmes are designed to ensure that you and your staff realise the full benefits of eCommerce as quickly as possible. Many staff are concerned when a new computer system is being installed, so our job is to show them that your new eCommerce site will make their lives easier, not harder.

We will draw up a customised training schedule specifically designed to take account of the number of staff, their concurrent availability, level of expertise and, of course, your budget.

Once this process is complete, you will immediately start to gain all the benefits of your new eCommerce site.
