About Bellwoven
Bellwoven are a successful packaging solutions provider based in Colne, Lancashire. With manufacturing offices worldwide including Hong Kong and Bangladesh, they are market leaders in woven and printed labels, badges, bags and barcodes, hang tags, caps and bespoke packaging. Customers can order products online using the iDynamics secure e-commerce Portal. Bellwoven also supply detailed labels and barcodes to client specifications via an online Purchase Order Management System (POMS).
E-commerce Portal
By extending the corporate website to include a secure ordering facility, Bellwoven customers are now able to buy online. This portal provides a flexible e-commerce solution with 2 way integration between the web shop and the accounts back office application. The initial login page gives account holders access to browse the product ranges and add items to the shopping basket as required (minimum order quantities apply). Clients may update account information online and view order history details. Selected product details can be uploaded from the accounts package, to the web shop. Any client orders placed through the online portal will be downloaded into the accounts application. System administrators at Bellwoven are able to schedule when these uploads/downloads take place.
POMS
The Purchase Order Management System (POMS) has been designed by iDynamics so Bellwoven can offer advanced label and barcode printing services to specific clients. A text file containing the printing instructions can be uploaded by the customer. These orders will be referenced and queued for printing by production zone. Both clients and Bellwoven staff can check the order status at any time. Pick list functionality and reporting tools are also available.
The Benefits
Both the e-commerce portal and the POMS are enabling Bellwoven to operate more efficiently. Orders can now be placed via the web shop and downloaded directly into the accounts back office. Thus eliminating the need for manual intervention and rekeying of order details. Reducing the amount of work which is often duplicated during the Sales Order process.
